I am Makayla Messaris, I am a graduate of Oklahoma City University (go stars) with an interest in Dance, Acting, Singing, and Film! I am originally from Tampa, Florida, but am now based in New York City!
I have also worked as a dance teacher for 5 years and have a growing passion for influencing the next generation of dancers. I have worked as a substitute dance teacher for many studios which has taught me so much about working under a time crunch and forming community with others very quickly.
As for my recent professional work, I have worked most recently with Music Theater Wichita in the Resident Ensemble of eight shows (I know, crazy) working with Directors Brian Marcum, Angelique Ilo, Eric Sciotto, Chaz Wolcott, and more. For more credits, please take a look at my resume!
Outside of my career, I really enjoy trying new foods, experimenting with new recipes, going to theme parks, and seeing shows! Some of my favorite things are tulips, Greek food, and traveling the world! Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know a little more about me!
